Vintage - Minden idõk összes lapja, egy minimális tiltólistával (régen type 1 néven futott) - a leggazdagabbak játszótere 😊
Legacy - Komolyabb tiltólistával rendelkezõ, de az összes normális kiadást tartalmazó változat (type 1,5)
Modern - 8. kiadás és az azóta megjelent készletek vannak benne (nagyjából ami az új kártyakeretben megjelent)
Extended - Utolsó 4 évben megjelent core set és blokk (1.x), októbertõl megszûnik, mint támogatott játékforma.
Standard - Ez az általánosan elterjedt, a legutóbbi core set és a két legutolsó blokk tartozik bele (type 2)
Block Constructed - csak a megadott blokk lapjai szerepelhetnek (pl. Return to Ravnica + Gatecrash + Dragon's Maze)
A Standard jelenleg az Innistrad blokkot, az M13-at, az RTR blokkot és az M14-et tartalmazza. Szeptember 27-én (ekkor válik hivatalossá a Theros) az Innistrad és az M13 kifordul, tehát marad benne jövõ õszig az RTR, az M14 és a Theros blokk, ahogy megjelenik. Majd jövõ nyáron bekerül az M15, és õsszel kiforog belõle az RTR és az M14... és így tovább.
Bármelyik lapról bármelyik kártyainformációs oldal (gatherer, magiccards.info, stb.) meg tudja mondani, hogy melyik formátumban legális.
