"What I wasn't impressed with, however, was the claim that the game was an "open sandbox" game. It's not. This game, in the single player campaign, is a very liberal corridor shooter, and you can't attack missions the way you want to. Because you're in a squad, and the squad's actions are scripted and trigger different events, it becomes frustrating not being able to approach a target the way you want to. An example: I was sitting pretty overlooking a village below me; my objective to get a vehicle. Instead of running around and down the side of the mountain on the path (which I knew would be heavily guarded), I opted to slide down the mountainside. The incline was fine, but as soon as I'd come off the path a warning message on the screen came up telling me I had to return to the battlefield. This, as you can imagine, really pissed me off, because I'd found a location to snipe all the enemies without being spotted."

This wouldn't be a huge problem if the game wasn't being sold as a "squad" oriented game, and this leads me to moan about not being able to play the game co-operatively (in the campaign mode). This is a huge oversight from the Dice team, as we know they can deliver on multiplayer. One of the game's producers told IncGamers that it had been discussed and "not to count it out."
