Egy új rendelkezés szerint az, aki végigolvas egy könyvet, négy nappal hamarabb szabadul. Korlátozás is van azonban: évente legfeljebb 48 napot olvashatnak "le" büntetésükbõl az elítéltek, azaz 12 könyv a beszámított maximum. Ezek témája lehet irodalom, filozófia, tudomány. A raboknak fogalmazást kell írni minden elolvasott könyvrõl, ám nem valami összecsapott, agyonjavítgatott zagyvaságot. Ráadásul a börtön vezetése a megfelelõ helyesírást és a külalakot is megköveteli.
További megkötés, hogy csak azok a rabok vehetnek részt az olvasóprogramban, akiket arra méltónak talál a börtön különleges bizottsága - adta hírül a The Daily Telegraph címû brit lap.

Szerintem sokszor (ennél a képnél fõleg - szinte minden szónál kínosan ügyeltek arra, hogy valami hiba legyen benne) kilóg a lóláb, ilyet könnyedén lehet gyártani, pont olyan emberek "szórakoztatására", akik könnyen felháborodnak az ilyesmin.
