War, war never changes... War doesn\'t determine who was right, only who is left.

Kasztok:
Fighters: Diehard combatants that earn feats more quickly than other warrior-type classes, but they gain little in the way of special abilities.
Paladins: These holy warriors gain a number of special abilities against evil beings, as well as the ability to cast divine magic at later levels.
Barbarians: Primitive warriors in touch with the spirit of the wild, barbarians are hardier than most other classes, and can manifest their rage in frightening ways.
Rangers: These consummate scouts have a predilection for ranged weapons, as well as abilities that allow them to interact with nature in interesting ways. They also gain access to nature-based magic, at higher levels.
Clerics: Clerics are masters of divine magic that are also quite capable in combat. Their powers against the undead help, combined with their healing and protective magic, make them an integral part of any successful party.
Bard: Bards are masters of lore and song. Their music rouses their companions, and increases their effectiveness in various key ways. In-game, the music they play will actually mesh dynamically with the music found in the environments.
Rogue: Without rogues, most parties wouldn't get past its first few steps in a dungeon. They can disarm traps, perform deadly sneak-attacks on enemies, and pick locked doors.
Sorcerers: These powerful magic-users draw their arcane energy from within, making them versatile, and adaptive, if not as widely learned as their counterparts, the wizards.
Wizards: Arguably the most powerful magic-users in the game, wizards require much more in terms of preparation than a sorcerer. But woe to someone standing toe-to-toe with one who's fully-prepared.
Fajok:
Humans: Ever-pervasive and versatile, the humans have a pretty strong footing in the Xen'drik region of Eberron, where D&D Online will be set. We'd be greatly surprised if these didn't make it into the final game.
Elves: Ditto with the elves -- it wouldn't be D&D without them. Eberron elves aren't as frail and willowy as they traditional ones, though. They have a pretty brutal legacy on Eberron, and their nature reflects this. The jungle continent of Xen'drik is actually their ancestral home, where they were slaves to an advanced race of giants. More on that tomorrow, though.
Halflings: The halflings of Eberron have free-spririted, and nomadic roots. While many live in cities, and have adopted urban lifestyles, many still roam the plains atop dinosaurs, generally getting by via their wits.
Dwarves: Sturdy and stalwart, damned if the dwarves didn't get a piece of the Xen'drik action for themselves. The absence of crafting makes their role as renowned smiths sort of forfeit, but they have absolutely no qualms about swinging an axe in the direction of anyone not acting right. That, and they're also keen merchants, so expect to exchange a lot of money and goods with dwarves in Stormreach.
Warforged: The Warforged were originally created to fight in the Last War -- perhaps the most defining event in Eberron's recent history. Essentially metal giants built for one express purpose -- to kill things effectively -- the Warforged eventually gained sentience, and have since established themselves as a genuine population segment in the world.
