MILANELLO - Marcos Cafu analysed the Sampdoria game when he spoke to the Milan Channel: 'We created plenty of chances, we were in full control of the game. We definitely did well, we took the pitch with determination, with a will to win and like I said created chances but unfortunately the result didn't go our way. Sampdoria had two chances and scored twice, at the end when you are behind it's normal to concede a bit. The important thing, however, is that the team is there and the club is there, I am certain that a victory will change everything, a result result and everything returns to what it was before. The best thing we can do is improve and we have to work every day for this, you win some, you lose some.'
The team is relaxed as Adriano Galliani requested: 'Defeat can happen, I don't see all these problems. Maybe I have a different idea of football but the league is still long, we've only played three games, one in a downpour, a lot of things can still happen. We are relaxed, convinced in the knowledge of what we can do.'
Looking ahead to the Lazio game: 'They are difficult opponents, it wouldn't be easy. We'll just play as we know how. The good thing is that we have a game three after another so we have an opportunity to forget the defeat at Genoa. What would be better than a great win?'

Idestova 20 éve játszik az AC Milanban a 37 éves Paolo Maldini, aki a hétvégén az 570. elsõ osztályú bajnoki mérkõzésén lépett pályára Genovában. Az olasz válogatott védõ ezzel beállította Dino Zoff rekordját: a világbajnok kapus négy csapatban érte el ezt az eredményt, míg Maldini csak a piros-feketéknél játszott.
A milanói születésû védõ - akinek az édesapja is a világhírû csapatban játszott -, 1985. január 20-án lépett elõször pályára Serie A-ban, méghozzá Udinében, ahol a Milan 1-1-es döntetlent játszott. Azóta Maldini 127 válogatott mérkõzésén 7 gólt lõtt, míg az 570 bajnokin 25 alkalommal talált a kapuba.
A 37 éves védõ persze idén még tovább növelheti meccseinek számát, sõt, ha még egy évet lehúz a Milanban, akkor meglehet a 600. mérkõzése is. Az AC Milan sokat kritizált hátvédje, Jaap Stam elismerte, hogy fontolgatja visszatérését a PSV Eindhoven csapatába. A holland játékost a rossz rajt miatt már a helyi média is megtalálta, amit Stam zokon vett:

GENOA - Adriano Galliani had this to say after the Sampdoria game: 'We're calm after this game. I heard from president Berlusconi at the end of the game and he's also relaxed. We created plenty of chances, we gave away two goals due to a lack of concentration but it's normal that an attacking side gave away some goals, maybe at the moment we are giving away too many. We have to take something positive from this defeat. We have to think to the next game, look ahead in the league and Champions League. There was some question that Gilardino was offside, Alberto had two more chances after the goal but the ball went over. Sheva came close, Antonioli did well against Vieri at the end. I would tell the fans to be calm and get behind the team. There are alarms now and then but this isn't the case. Maldini played his 800th game, Kaka his 100th, hopefully he will catch our unbeatable captain.

We scored through Gilardino, then created plenty of chances, we should have finished off the game earlier, football doesn't let you off. He played good football, then in the last 15 minutes we lost our shape but that's normal, we have to react now. We have to pay attention at set-pieces but it's a disappointing defeat and we're all down. But we have to look ahead, Wednesday is an important game. Wins, draws and defeats have to be forgotten, we know our objectives.'

I also think that maybe I should have had a penalty. Now we have to react but I am confident. We are a united group, all the players know where we want to arrive. We have a great desire to bounce back in the next game.'

The thing that let us down was that we were punished on two occasions out wide. It still remains a positive performance. We controlled the game and created plenty of chances. There is no need for alarm, we are just missing a bit of attention which Samp took advantage of. We were a bit off-guard but also a bit unlucky. We were determined until the end even if we lost a bit of brightness. However, there are aspects that I can take some positives from. We'll be back. Another positive not note was Gilardino's goals, we've been waiting for it and he's broken the duck. Anyway, the team is improving, the spirit today was positive.'

Nem sikerült jól Maldini kettõs jubilálása, miután a Sampdoria otthonában elszenvedte elsõ (és remélhetõleg utolsó) bajnoki vereségét a Milan csapata. Az elõny nem tartott ki a félidõ végéig, és Bonazzoli góljával egyenlített a hazai gárda.
