Roberto Donadoni is now favourite for Carlo Ancelotti's job at AC Milan after his sensational resignation from Livorno last night.
Furious over a public attack on him by his president Aldo Spinelli, Donadoni quit Livorno just before midnight.
With Ancelotti's position at Milan continuing to be shaky, Donadoni is now seen as outright favourite to succeed him at Milan at the end of this season - if not sooner.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admitted recently: "As a trainer he appeals to me, he is an excellent coach and an old friend."

MILANELLO - Carlo Ancelotti closed all discussion on Kakà for once and all by saying: 'There has never been any argument in my mind, he is a player who cannot be imitated. We have had to face judgements in the past and we have always done well. We are motivated to face Bayern, we will have everyone back fit so this gives us more conviction. There are a lot of games, Bayern included, where fear cannot come into it. We are optimists and I am very optimistic about the rest of the season. I want to see Milan play well tomorrow against Treviso, with fluidity and the same attitude we showed in Rome.'

Az AC Milan átigazolási guruja, Ariedo Braida a hétvégén Franciaországban járt, hogy megnézze a Lyon mérkõzését, amelyen 0-0-ás döntetlent ért el a Bordeaux ellen.
Braida célja az volt, hogy a találkozón megfigyelje a Lyon két játékosát, Mahmadou Diarrát és Crist, akit egyébként a meccs legjobbjának választottak. Mindkét labdarúgó elõkelõ helyet foglal el a piros-feketék nyári bevásárlási listáján, és Braida kifaggatta Jean Michel Aulast (a Lyon elnöke) Cris vételárával kapcsolatban.

We could have been more precise, but overall it went well. In the second half we created more opportunities, we only lacked a goal. It was a good test, even if it wasn’t a good result. This is a starting point from which to grow, improve and find that consistency that has been missing recently. The team have taken a step forward, everyone gave more and they played as a team. There was a bit of apprehension and a lack of nimbleness in the play, but everyone worked really hard and had the right attitude. Perhaps there was a little bad luck, but next time it will turn out better.’
