MILANELLO - 'Maldini has been training normally with the rest of the team but is not one hundred per cent, so I decided not to take him to Reggio and it's got nothing to do with the state of the pitch. I am taking Piazza who is a young midfielders who can play out wide or in the centre, he's been doing well with the youth side.

AC Milan midfielder Kaka insists their Scudetto hopes are still alive.
"We are still determined to fight," he said. "We are well aware that Juventus are still favourites but we haven't given up hope of clinching the title."
Internazionale's 2-1 defeat at Fiorentina and Juve's 1-1 draw at home to Parma in midweek appears to have galvanised the Rossoneri, who are now three points behind second-placed Inter.
With Inter hosting Juve this weekend, Milan know they must take home three points on Sunday if they want to get back in the Scudetto race.
"We first have to think about winning in Reggio Calabria, which will not be an easy task," said Rossoneri coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"We cannot make any predictions, just take it one step at a time. The most important thing is that we find continuity in terms of our performances and in results.
"There are approximately 100 days left until the end of the season and we know we face a battle in every game, but if we do well from now on, we may achieve something important by the end of the campaign."

The injured Andriy Shevchenko, Paolo Maldini and Marcos Cafu won’t make the trip to Reggina on Sunday.
The Ukrainian hitman scored a brace during the 5-0 win over Treviso on Wednesday, but limped off with a thigh injury.
“Sheva had a muscular problem and was still struggling with it today,” explained Coach Carlo Ancelotti. “There’s no reason to risk it.”
Ancelotti was also concerned about throwing Maldini back into the fray after more than two months on the sidelines with a recurring knee condition.
“Paolo has been training regularly with the rest of the team, but is still not 100 per cent fit. We don’t want to risk a relapse.”
Marek Jankulovski has also been left behind with a bruised ankle, while Cafu and Massimo Ambrosini are training separately.
“We won’t be able to get Cafu back for next week’s game with Cagliari due to the nature of his knee injury, but we hope that all the others will be ready for that tie,” concluded Ancelotti.
With Shevchenko out, it looks as if Pippo Inzaghi will partner Alberto Gilardino, although January signing Marcio Amoroso provides another option.
Youth team players Lino Marzoratti and Federico Piazza have been included in the side travelling to the Stadio Granillo.

MILANELLO - Shevchenko spoke about the situation with referees during this afternoon’s press conference: ‘I don’t believe that the referees go on the field to help one of the teams. I do think that the referees would be helped by instruments like playback for the most extreme cases.’ Sheva then continued: ‘The problem with the referees is not secondary, I am also talking about my two goals in the Cup of Champions that we adjudged irregular. Referees can make mistakes. Their mistakes can penalize, but to err is human. I am truly sorry that there is so much talk about the referees right now, but they really have to improve and try to make less mistakes. This would be to everyone’s benefit.’
