The C++ error message appears to be caused by a timing issue between
the video card and the motherboard. We have seen this error across
multiple games using different graphical language sets (both opengl and
direct3d) and being developed by different developers. Sadly there is no
hard and fast rule to solving this issue. You can try different
versions of the nvidia drivers (they have a driver archive link on the left
hand side of their driver download page). This problem started right
around when the 4x.xx drivers came out though so it's very likely that
older drivers won't work properly with the game.

Alternatively you could also try getting either a new motherboard or a
new video card. Either of these should also eliminate the error.

We are actively looking into wether or not this game has any other
sources for the error message other than the timing issue that I mentioned
previously. Unfortunately I have no further suggestions at this time.

Make sure your system meets the minimum system requirements of the game.


Make sure you have the latest video and sound card drivers from the manufacturers' websites.


Set your desktop to a resolution of 800x600, 32 bit True Color.
1) Right-click on your desktop and select Properties.
2) Click the Settings tab.
3) Set your screen area to 800x600.
4) Set the colors to 32 Bit (True Color). Under Windows NT this will be listed as 65554 colors.
5) Click Apply and OK.


All background applications must be shutdown prior to running the game.

Try setting your sound acceleration to basic. Here is how to do this:

1) Click on the Start button and then Run.
2) In the box type: dxdiag
3) Click the OK button.
4) Click on the sound tab, and there should be a slider labeled sound acceleration near the bottom of the screen.
5) Move the slider down to basic and then press ok.

A King's Way 603 után lementem a csatornákba, ott bóklászok már 1 órája, lõttem magamnak abortuszos, 2 fejû lovakat és elhízott Lagzi Lajosokat is, végül eljutottam egy irányítószobába, aminek a közepén van egy lejárat, az egyik számítógépen meg egy Fatal exceptionös hibaüzi. Kérne egy kártyát a gép... no, ez nincs meg! De visszamenni már nehézkes, mivel ebben a rohadt csatornarendszerben már órák óta gyaloglok 😞

1. safe modban inditottam (az 800x600)
2. rendes uzemmodban inditva , de a desktop 800x600-ban volt

A desktop-ot 1024x768-ra állitva elindult.

Azoknak akik a grafikára panaszkodnak és kérdezik miért nem úgy néz ki mint a HL2:
