This bug is related to the CDN display bug that sometimes causes pictures on db entries to just disappear for 1-2 days and then return. I'm not sure what exactly causes the CDN bug, but it's related to your location, and comes and goes intermittently.
This is currently affecting two js scripts on the anime/manga edit pages and results in the js script file not loading (much like images do not load). It wasn't affecting these scripts in the past, so I'm not sure why it has suddenly started now, and have forwarded it on to the appropriate people in bold and red. Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon for everyone.
For now, try either updating your list via export/import, using a third party application (MALu/taiga), a proxy or your mobile phone network (different IP). If you aren't trying to update detailed information, you can also use the quick add/edit places on anime/manga DB entries. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this causes, I know how frustrating it is.
