I just received a message saying that my account is restricted what can I do to unlock it? I've only been trading some stuff and gifting some game to my brother who is living in Korea . Is there anything I can do you restore my account status?

    Hello Ng,

Our records indicate that you are using this account to purposely bypass regional content restrictions or regional pricing.

In the future, do not resell games to users in regions that do not match the price of the region in which you reside or are purchasing from. Additionally, do not use proxy or VPN software to falsify your purchasing region.

Note that the reselling of games is not supported by Steam Support. If you choose not to follow these instructions, your current and future reselling accounts will be permanently blocked from purchasing on Steam.

Prices in the Steam Store are set on a region by region basis. The price and currency displayed are the set prices for those games based on your location.

We are always working with publishers to adjust prices to be in line with what can be found at local retailers and online shops.

    Hello Ng,

Sending gifts from the Russian store to users in other regions is purposely bypassing region restrictions.

Please confirm that you understand and that this activity will not continue.

    Hello ,
So that means every time I want to send my family members a gift I would have to log in steam in the current country they are living in and purchase there ? This is ridiculous . Why not just disable gifting altogether in Russia and other CIS Countries if gifting to other region is bypassing regional pricing . Some of us have friends all over the world and are "we" from Russia unable to send gifts to them ? I'm not getting a profit in gifting and I sometimes have to buy games with region restriction the Russian store is crippled as it is and now we can't even send gifts ?

I did not violate any terms and regulation as I have only used the service provided by Steam i.e gifting and trading . I have said I bought the games for both gifting and trading. Is trading wrong ? Like I said I gift to both family and friends . You have clearly abused your power by banning me from steam just because you can . Before I have said I really am living in Russia if you want proof you only have to ask whatever document you need . I know the ban was issued just after a trade , as I know trading does not violate terms and regulation .
