    Today most people have an internet connection. And the internet is one of the most dangerous area in the world and we have to protect us in the web. But how? Which programs can protect us from what?
    There are 3 types of dangers:
    1. Viruses.
    What are they? Viruses are small and simple programs, they infect files and they can cause system errors, hardware problems etc.
    How can we protect us from them? The antivirus programs are for to find and kill them. They have heuristic engine that can find the new viruses. But you must keep them up-to-date! Without the new information the can’t defend you.
    Good antivirus softwares: Nod32(3), Avast!, Avira, AVG, Bitdefender, Kaspersky
    2. Spywares
    What are they? They multiply with infected e-mails, infected setup, from p2p softwares etc. They can steal your passwords, make advertisement into your computer, make backdoors in your system for hackers etc.
    How can we protect us from them? There are a lot of new technology to find them, like HIPS that analyze the behaviour of programs and destroy the suspicious files.
    Good antispyware softwares: Counter Spy, AVG Antispware, Spysweeper, Spyware Doctor, Ad-aware, Spybot, Spyware Terminator, Spyware Blaster
    3. Hackers
    What are they? Bad hackers want to steal your bank accounts, your datas, and backdoors and trojan horses want to send back the stealed information to their lord.
    How can we protect us from them? Firewalls are for to make a border between the internet and your computer. The Windows Xp Sp2’s firewall is very very weak. You should change it because it scan only the outgoing information and it’s not enough.
    Good firewalls: Comodo, Look’n’Stop, Sygate, Zonealarm, Jetico
    Internet Securitys contain all of these programs in one program. Free solutions are not very bad they can be better than the others.

    Other tips:
    Update your sofwares: With the newest version of a product the risk of an attack will decrease. Most of the security holes and bugs are repaired in the newer versions.
    Use your brain: The common sense! That is the most important thing. If you can decide what sites and e-mails are safe the risk of to get a virus would decrease. If you are well-informed, you won’t be surprised on the internet.
