Today, Gigabyte and ASUStek announce that they will form a new company with Gigabyte holding 51% stake and ASUStek holding the rest.

This strategic alliance will enhance the support, operations and enhance the current channel sales market for both companies.

This new investment amounts to 0.8 billion NT. ASUS will have a 49% stake and Gigabyte will own 51% of it. It is planned to operate from Jan 2007. The subsidiary company will have 5 directors and 2 auditors. Gigabyte will appoint 3 directors and 1 auditor while ASUStek will assign 2 directors and 1 auditor.
