Lyon have warned Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal that Karim Benzema will cost a world-record 100million euros (£79million) transfer fee.The French champions have put this staggering price on the 20-year-old's head as they seek to ward off a host of top clubs linked with the star.
Manchester United are among those linked to the French international, who has already scored five goals in Ligue 1 so far this term and another against Fiorentina in Group F of the Champions League last week.
But club president Jean-Michel Aulas says possible suitors will have to stump up a record amount to prise the player away from the French champions.
"We have signed a contract with him until 2013, with a get-out clause of 100million euros," warned Aulas, adding that Benzema is an integral part of their bid to progress beyond the last 16 of the Champions League.
