Unhappy Liverpool striker Milan Baros is being closely watched by Italian side Palermo after his reported bust-up with Rafa Benitez at last weekend's Carling Cup final: "We will monitor the situation," said Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini. "When a player of this quality becomes available, we will of course be interested. There has been no contact but should the situation remain the same, then we will contact Liverpool." Baros denied last week that he wants to leave Anfield, with Benitez saying: "It's true he was not happy because he was not playing, but we don't have any problem with Milan. There's been a lot of talking but the most important thing is to work hard. I've spoken to Milan. He knows he scored a lot of goals before his injury problem, but since then he's needed goals. He needs to be focused on the game and playing well. By working hard and showing his best, the goals will come. When a player doesn't play it's because another team mates is needed. I'm sure he understands now that the most important thing is the team because the better the side plays, the more he will score goals in future."
