sensor capability is independant from source emission (the graph i showed)
the rear/all flag is unused now in the DB for IR Modeling ( maybe just to categorized it in DGF Module or some specific avionics or sound tones etc...)
Some sensors have just a detection treshold that is so low, that it can't pick up (or at very very very close range) the signal front
