hm, o szerinte nem is nagy a lag, de azert erdekes dolgokat ir:
So I decided to make a log of the events which have happened while I've been participating in the testing process. I feel it is my duty as a tester, and just a gamer in general, to try and share my experiences with everyone here. Hoping that these logs will help in making the game a better experience for everyone in the future.
Day 1 (Friday November 11th, 2011 11PM EST - Saturday November 12th, 2011 5AM EST)
Home from work and time to finally play, or so I thought. I pulled the game up and the opening cinematic ended up cementing the first class I would be playing. Seeing the smuggler spin around and whip out his dual blasters to help save the day made me realize I had made the right choice from the get go. There was a bit of lag with the movie, but it didn't really bother my experience.
I started off trying the server Keetael, Republic side, making a Smuggler. Que for the server however was over 300 and I decided to try my luck elsewhere. Little did I know that would be my undoing for the next hour. Canceling the que I ended up sitting there for around ten minutes before I realized the loading screen wasn't going to be changing. So using the task manager I stopped the process. Coming back on I tried the server Terentatek, que at 409 with a slight delay between selecting the server and being qued up. Hitting the X button on the que this time I selected Keetael again and this time it took me directly to character creation.
Deciding to use Mirialan as my race I created my character, only to be booted out of the program as soon as I hit done. Ran into error 1002. Restarting the computer however seemed to be enough to clear that problem up. Though finally past midnight I was able to get on and play. The visuals during the cinematic this time blinked off every once in a while, and sound was garbled with odd crackling noises. After the first two starter missions sound and lag got to me and I restarted again.
Everything was going smoothly after that with only minor lag, though cinematic 'blinking' still occurred at times. A message popped up requesting for testers to switch to the Shi-Cho server. Following suit I made a Sith Inquisitor with Sith as my race. Never did find out what exactly they had asked us to switch servers for, but man was the starting area ever crowded because of it. Playing through the majority of the missions there for the inquisitor I found that it really felt like I was playing one of the old KOTOR games, I was heavily immersed in the story, and due to the dialogue choices I felt like I had a hand in deciding my character's personality. I played up to the quest 'Jailbreak', noting that I couldn't actually see the NPC Quorian Dorjis (hope I spelled that right) through the walls of his energy cell except for when the camera angle went inside of it, then I could see out of it just fine.
At this point I decided to take a break, but so far my experience has been quite positive. I do hope to find more quests than the standard fetch and mob killing quests I'm used to from other MMOs that I've played time and again. I am quite pleased with the way things are going, and can't wait to see how things shape up over this weekend. I'll be updating this with my experiences over the course of the weekend.
