One of the nicer feature of older PES versions, which PES2008 is lacking, was the ability to change the viewing angle of the camera (the 1-9 setting). While the game interface doesn't provide a way to do it, it's actually quite simple to change the camera angle by modifying the system settings file.
How to use it:
