Requirements:
1. The file cssource_cracked_emporio.rar, size: 2,63 MB (2.759.068 bytes)
2. GCFScape (and possibly .NET Framework)
3. The file cssource-crack_emporio.rar, size: 8,95 MB (9.393.048 bytes)
4. a -NEW- steam account
5. Illegal CD keys for steam.
Optionally:
6. The latest .cgf files of CS:Source. We'll get those also in this tutorial though...
Ok, it's a bunch of stuff u need, but hey, if u want to play, u need to do something for it Most of the files are widely available, so search/find them. Maybe if u give me a good, fast host, preferrably FTP, i'll upload it for u
Well, enough chatter, let's start:
1. Create a folder, eg. csSourceV3
2. Unpack cssource_cracked_emporio.rar to this folder.
Ok, well it was easy start wasn't it
Now we'll need to have the .GCF files from steam.
STEP 1: EVERYONE should do this!
1. Open steam and login with ur new account.
2. Open Task manager - process list and select Steam.exe (do not kill it yet!)
3. Click on Condition Zero in your My Games List and go to "Register a Product I already own" at the bottom
3. Enter an invalid CD-Key
4. Click on next to BEGIN to authorize the CD-Key
5. Wait until the CD-Key authorization is at TWO BARS (2 BARS!)
6. Kill Steam.exe process
Now a few steps to ensure we'll have a good clientregistry.blob file:
7. Open steam
8. Close it, but dont log out!
9. Copy the clientregistry.blob file to a safe location
STEP 2: ONLY for the ppl that don't have the latest .GCF files!
1. Open Steam again
2. Get as Quickly to the My Games list, doubleclick CS Source Beta to download the files.
3. U'll see the download bar.. This could take a while.
Meanwhile, take a drink, go read a paper or do something It's possible that steam will come up with a screen that there were some problems of some sort with registering the game.. Well that's obvious, u were using an illegal key
No problem thou, updates will continue...
When finished, close steam, but do not log out. This is crucial to prevent not logged in messages
Unpacking the GCF Files
This is fairly easy
1. Open GCFScape.
2. Use it to unpack the following .gcf files (U will find them in your Steamapps folder of steam):
- counter-strike source shared content.gcf, size 435 MB (456.406.860 bytes)
- counter-strike source base content.gcf, size 2,99 MB (3.143.664 bytes)
- beta source shared.gcf, size 57,3 MB (60.181.564 bytes)
3. Put these files into the csSourceV3 map.
Putting the crack on top of it:
We're almost finished, only a few little things left. We've had the hardest part!
1. Unpack the file cssource-crack_emporio.rar and overwrite any existing files in the csSourceV3 map.
2. Copy the backed-up version of the blob file into the csSourceV3 map.
3. edit SteamApp.cfg in a format like this:
SteamAppId=10
#SteamAppVersionId=0
SteamInstallPath="C:\Games\cssourcev3"
# [as is clearified later on, this should be your email address/accountname:]
SteamAppUser=YourSteamAccountName
4. Create a shortcut of your hl2.exe and edit the shortcut so it says:
Target: C:\Games\cssourcev3\hl2.exe -steam -game cstrike -console
