Kaladze forces AC Milan market rethink
tribalfootball.com - March 14, 2006
AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti admits the form of Kakha Kaladze has forced a rethink over summer signings.
Kaladze has been outstanding at centre-half and has convinced management that his future is in central defence - possibly as Jaap Stam's long-term replacement.
Ancelotti said: "Kaladze's form in defence has convinced us to change our strategies for the transfer market."
Indeed, instead of chasing a new centre-half, Milan are now focusing on bringing a quality fullback to the San Siro in the summer with Fabio Grosso (Palermo) and Hatem Trabelsi (Ajax) high on their shopping list.
