    Chelsea plan £50M bid for AC Milan ace Shevchenko

    Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is lining up a £50 million bid for AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko.

    A source close to Shevchenko told the News of the World: "Andrei will only leave Milan for one club and that is Chelsea.

    "It is a move that really excites him."

    Blues boss Mourinho tried to sign Shevchenko last summer but Milan were unwilling to sell their top marksman.

    But he will be 30 in August and the Italians now reckon it is time to cash in on the player.
