AC Milan ahead of Liverpool in push for Sampdoria's Diana

Liverpool are eyeing Sampdoria fullback Aimo Diana.
Diana is on the verge of winning a call to Marcello Lippi's Italy squad and has a host of big clubs ready to take him away from Samp. Along with Liverpool, Fiorentina have also made contact with Samp about Diana's availability.
However, AC Milan have stolen a march on their rivals after opening serious negotiations this week with Samp chiefs about a January deal.
