ANCELOTTI: ‘Best game from an aesthetic point of view’
    11/6/2005
MILAN – Here is what a smiling Carlo Ancelotti had to say after the victory: ‘From an aesthetic point of view it was our best game, we showed our quality thanks to the good condition of the players and the precision of the play. Everything was absolutely beautiful, a great performance on everyone’s part. We all enjoyed ourselves, us and the fans at the San Siro. We played at a high level.’ On the team’s condition, the coach added: ‘We have worked hard to get into peak condition, some people said that we were done after Ascoli and Genova. We have improved and are going thought a great moment. It will be difficult to do better than today, but we must try and repeat this performance. The break for international duty will be good, we are going to keep this shape for the next 15 days. However, we have time to rest and recover. Gilardino? I am happy about his double, he is improving at Milan’s pace. Today he displayed what I knew he could do. Serginho also did well: he worked hard to understand his position and now he is playing with great diligence, defending well and this allows us to focus play on the wings and open up the midfield for Kakà and Seedorf. This was one of the keys to the match.’
