Shevchenko: The Draw Was Fair

The Ukrainian forward celebrated his 29th birthday with a goal which however was not enough for Milan to beat Schalke 04.
After an entertaining 2-2 draw against the German team, the Rossoneri can feel satisfied with the result, in particular Andriy Shevchenko who scored his 49th goal in European competitions to reach Di Stefano in this particular list exactly on his birthday.
“I would have preferred to celebrate with a win, but I think that the draw was fair. I’m happy for my goal, Maldini made a beautiful cross, but Milan is more important as it would have been better to win the three points.”
