    Serie A Sunday Wrap: Sheva-Gila, And Milan Are Back On Track

    Milan remain five points behind Juve thanks to their 2-0 win over Treviso, while Palermo incurred in their first defeat of the season as they were were the victims of Lazio's incredible Sunday afternoon comeback.

    Goals from Alberto Gilardino and Andriy Shevchenko allowed Milan to get the away win over Treviso, by a score of 2-0. Shevchenko converted a penalty right before halftime in the 44th minute, and Gilardino added the second in the 73rd.

    Siena won at home 4-2 over Messina. Tomas Locatelli gave Siena the lead in the 10th minute, but Zoro leveled just two minutes later. Enrico Chiesa put
    Siena back on top in the 28th, and extended the lead in the 40th minute. Locatelli got a brace of his own right after halftime. Arturo Di Napoli got a consolation goal for Messina in the 66th to complete the scoring.

    At the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Lazio took down visiting Palermo also by a score of 4-2. Palermo actually took the lead in the 35th minute through Andrea Caracciolo, and were able to take the lead into the break. Mariano Gonzalez doubled the advantage shortly after halftime in the 49th, but Lazio were not to be defeated on this day. Tommaso Rocchi cut the lead in half in the 58th minute, and his strike-partner Goran Pandev tied the match two minutes later. Manfredini then amazingly put Lazio on top in the 65th, and Rocchi then sealed the huge comeback in the 85th minute.

    Sampdoria disappointed the home crowd by losing to Chievo Verona 2-1. Daniele Franceschini gave the visitors the lead in the 36th minute. Francesco Flachi tied the match five minutes after halftime, Victor Obinna won it for Chievo in the 61st.

    At the Stadio Armando Picchi, in-form Livorno defended their home turf versus slumping Ascoli, 2-0. Raffaele Palladino put Livorno ahead in the 51st minute, and Cristiano Lucarelli finished off Ascoli in the 78th on a penalty kick.

    Empoli won at home against Lecce, 1-0. The lone strike came from Nicola Pozzi in the 64th minute.

    The only scoreless draw of the day came in the match between Cagliari and Roma, at the former’s home ground.
