PRESS SURVEY - ANCELOTTI: 'Three-man defence needs balance'
8/24/2005
MILAN - La Gazzetta dello Sport interviewed Carlo Ancelotti who spoke about the three-man defence: 'It's not the best system for defending, but it's useful for attacking better, above all, to change the course of a game. It can be important when we need an extra man in midfield and to exploit the flanks. However, it needs balance, that's what counts. This year we want to win the league and concede fewer goals because we have a lot of top strikers. Last season we weren't impenetrable, we gave our opponents too many chances. We have worked in pre-season to cancel that.'
