Mancini out – Mourinho in?
Saturday 25 November, 2006
Inter boss Roberto Mancini and Chelsea maestro Jose Mourinho could swap jobs next summer, insist reports in Italy on Saturday.
Mancio has only six months left on his current Nerazzurri contract and numerous stories today suggest he’s on his way out of the San Siro – even if he wins the Serie A title.
“I’ll go and work abroad – if I can find a side that wants me,” the Sampdoria legend was quoted as saying.
Mancini has stated on numerous occasions that Inter would be his last Italian side and he had ambitions of working in England.
After spending a brief stint as a player with Leicester City, the Jesi-born ace is now seemingly eyeing a move to Chelsea.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be a big fan of the former international and a move could be on if Mourinho believes the time has arrived for a new challenge.
And the Portuguese tactician may be tempted to step into the San Siro hot-seat after Inter owner Massimo Moratti initially contacted him while he was at Porto.
Nevertheless, Mancini and Inter seemingly have other options available to them should they split at the end of term.
Barcelona may ask for Mancio if Frank Rijkaard replaces Carlo Ancelotti on the Milan bench next season.
Inter could also make a move for Sven Goran Eriksson, Rafa Benitez of Liverpool or Claudio Ranieri if the Portuguese Coach stays in London.
Mancini has won one Scudetto [thanks to the Calciopoli crisis], two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups since his arrival on the bench.
asszem a cím mindent elmond...Mancininek már csak 6 hónap van hátra a szerződésébl és mivel le nyilatkozott olyat is hogy angliába menne szívesen ezért már a sajtó keresi is a helyettesét...
