The Chinese site, Moonshadow (www.worldofms.net) had an interview with the NCSoft Developers, February 6, 2004, about their long term plans for Lineage II. Some examples are:
In March, Chronicle 1 will go live for Taiwan. There will be 12 Chronicles in all by the time NCSoft is done. As you know, Korea closed their Open Beta and went live with the Chronicle 1 Patch. All Chronicles will be released over a long period of time. Twice a year they will do major overhauls by raising level caps, adding higher content, etc. They also will be adding underwater cities and flying vehicles.
NCSoft is also reducing the graphic polygon count from 3000 to 700 pts per character. They do not expect much change visually and their estimate is that you can have 500-600 players participating in castle sieges because of this reduction.
