Bailing wire can be galvanized. Those are the easiest to authenticate. Galvanzied bailing wire was common to Pionier units. 2 of my FJ bailing wire helmets have galvanized wire. The third does not and it has wear patterns that are similiar to this one in a few areas.
So far, I am torn about the wire. I like some of what I see and some things concern me. Could I see some closeups of the area in the back where the wire is joined together? And closeups of the loops? That will give me a better feel.
