The guy at the American Armored Museum who owns a few WWII American tanks says that the correct color for US WII tanks is NOT the "brownish" OD, but actually a lighter shade, on the pale green side. I know Polly S used to make a killer shade for that color, but they're not around anymore. It's rather a light, faded drab green.
