A. The Nokia 8110 phone featured in the movie "The Matrix" is an Asian GSM model that is not compatible with the GSM network in the United States. The Nokia 8110i is the cell phone used in The Matrix. The original 8100 was modified to include the cool quick sliding cover/mouth piece. This cell phone is quite impressive, it includes: Voice Recognition, e-mail, Internet Access, Paging Facility and Caller ID. Because of some features on this phone, it is not available to us in the USA. It is, however, available to people in the UK and other European countries and Australia (where the film was made).
