Power Solids brings the power of high-end Solids Modeling into your MAX
and Rhino environment. Power Solids is not just another modeler that
utilizes the ACIS or Parasolid kernel. It utilizes a much newer kernel
developed by IntegrityWare, Inc. (www.integrityware.com) over the past 6
years. This kernel has some unique technologies including: a powerful
NURBS surfacing package originally developed by Wayne Tiller of GeomWare,
Inc.; a native Non-Manifold Topological representation; very robust solids
and non-solids Boolean operations; adaptive tolerancing to enable it to
handle imported models for a variety of systems, a high-end filleting
package that handles difficult large radius cases; a shelling and
offsetting algorithm that handles self-intersections; and extraordinarily
fast and reliable tessellation engine to convert the trimmed surfaces into
meshes.

Have you ever had to re-create a CAD model inside of MAX/VIZ? Power
Translators is the answer to get those CAD models and assemblies into MAX
or VIZ with the push of a button. Power Translators reads IGES, STEP, SAT,
and Rhino and creates a "BrepObject" to represent the precise geometry
defined in these files. It can then create a mesh at render time to a
specified user defined tolerance relative to the size of the object in the
image. For example, a tolerance of 1/2 Pixel will produce an extremely
high quality image with very smooth edges that do not have polygonal
artifacts. The "BrepObject" introduced by Power Translators can have
materials applied at the sub-object level and is able to utilize most MAX
Meshmodifiers (twist, UVMap, etc.).
