NetFire.com and the U.S. Army announced today an agreement whereby NetFire will provide official honor servers for Americas Army game in Europe and the U.S.
The increasing popularity of Americas Army in Europe and the U.S. resulted in the decision to add significantly to the number of game ports available. In particular, this expanded service will enhance support to U.S. military personnel and their families located in Europe.
Due to the location of U.S. forces in NATO, A significant percentage of our users are in Europe, said Major (R) Chris Chambers, Deputy Director of the Americas Army game. We are pleased to use NetFire to make this service available to gamers in Europe, as well as adding additional capacity throughout NetFires U.S. network.
We expect this new service to be fully operational by May of 2004
Part of NetFires hosting agreement with the U.S. Army includes NetFires sister company, GameDaemons, which will also offer honor servers through its popular online site.
