Ez az id nem angol id, hanem német. Freud osztotta az emberi "elmét" 3 részre: id, ego, szuperego. Ebbõl az id volt az "ösztönlény", erre utal az id Software neve. Kérdezd bármely ismerõsödet, aki legalább 1-2 félév pszichológiát hallgatott.

Én is úgy tudom, hogy a fejlesztõcsapat neve kiejtve id. Simán id és nem ájdi. Ezt még Carmack nyilatkozta anno.

OFF: Én inkább a kiejtésre, mint érdekességre akartam felhívni a figyelmet, nem a konkrét helyesírásra.

Én meg pont úgy értesültem jópár éve, hogy maguk az id Software-es srácok magyarázták el, hogy az 'id', amikor mindenki ájdízta õket. (nem a magyar irás/kiejtés miatt gondoltam) Pont azért érdekes, mert nem úgy kell ejteni, ahogy gondolnánk. Neveket meg ugye úgy kell ejteni, ahogy a tulaja.
Meg csomó helyen ezt olvastam. Utána kéne nézni alaposabban.
Jövevényszavak tényleg érdekes téma. (engem felettébb érdekel)
Vannak ugye az anyakönyvezhetõ nevek, amiket szabály szerint kiejtés szerint kell írni magyarul, ezért néz ki olyan csúnyán a "Dzsenifer",
amiket eredeti formájában használunk :"show", "shop", stb.
Viszont emellett ott egy csomó, ami meg már teljesen elmagyarosodva helyes, pl. "menedzser", stb. Érdekes, no!

Én úgy tudom, hogy Carmack-bácsi folyamatosan "ájdí"-zik. Idegen neveket, és rövidítéseket, jövevényszavakat (teljes honosodásukig) úgy kell ejteni, ahogy teszik azt a forrás hazájukban.
Érdemes elgondolkozni például azon, hogy pl. miért nem anyakönyveznek a "Jennifer"-t, és miért csak "Dzsennifer"-t engedélyeznek...
Ugyanakkor, miért írjuk: "Show", (tárgyraggal: show-t) stb.
Félre ne érts kérlek, nem kiokításként, vagy leszólásként (és más degradáló jelzõk) és nem sértõ szándékkal írtam neked, csak azért, hogy ne rögzüljön a rossz.

Pedig ha anno bejön a játék, és óriásit üt, akkor az egész nagyarcú reklámkampány is jól sült volna el, mindenki betudta volna Romero személyiségének. Csak mivel a játék szar lett, a nagy felhajtás körülötte elég nevetségesen hatott.
