Republic: The Revolution is set in Novistrana, an ex-Soviet state, ruled
by a corrupt and brutal dictator. With a personal vendetta against the
President and discontent spreading throughout the nation, now is the
moment to seize power. Time to start a revolution - will it be to
liberate the masses or to become their new oppressor?
Starting with a single loyal supporter create a powerful nationwide
faction strong enough to oust the President and take control. Using
either your Influence, Wealth or Force, gain the allegiance of prominent
public figures including members of the Secret Police, Councillors,
Celebrities, Priests, and Criminals. Hundreds of diverse actions enable
you to order and manipulate the masses from rallies and riots to
constructing crime syndicates, holding charity galas, organising secret
police 'hits' or broadcasting news propaganda.
Threats come from seven other factions, all vying for supreme control.
Over-shadowing everything is the President who will do anything to hold
onto power. Be as ruthless or as compassionate as you want, but beware,
as every action can have untold repercussions and consequences on the
future of your Republic.

Az Elixir Studios bejelentette, hogy végre elékszültek a Republic: The Revolution című játékukkal. A gamma már aranylemezen leledzik, és az Egyesült Királyságban, Franciaországban, Egyesült Államokban, Csehországban, Finnországban, Görögországban, Izraelben, Lengyelországban, Portugáliában, Oroszországban, Szlovákiában és Olaszorszában egészen pontosan augusztus 29-én jelenik meg. A többi államban (köztük Magyarországon is), szeptember 5-től lehet majd megvásárolni.

Several sites are reporting that Republic: The Revolution has gone gold, but I still haven't seen a press release. I did get an e-mail from EBGames, though, moving the release date to 8/26, so I believe that the gold information is correct. It's been a long wait for this game and I hope it fulfills its potential.

Aranyon a Republic!
Végre bearanyozódott a Republic: The Revolution! A rengeteget késett játék (ez valamelyest a grafikán is meglátszik) sokszorosítása szeptember 5-én fog elkezdődni, így már csak alig egy hónapot kell aludnunk ahhoz, hogy a kezünkben tartsuk a programot.

Most olvastam, hogy a játékot azért nem hajlandóak augusztusban kiadni mert akkor mindenki nyaral. Apám ezt a gyenge, mocskos és undorító érvet LOL

Wenn auch nicht festgelegt, werden die Voraussetzungen in etwa so aussehen:
> Pentium 2 mit 400 MHz
> Grafikkarte zweiter Generation (zB Voodoo 3)
> Festplattenplatz unbestimmt
> mind. Windows 98
Natürlich ist das Spiel skalierbar, also ein "zu guter" PC wird kaum zu finden sein.

These are general specifications that Demis Hassbais has mentioned before release, and confirmed by Elixir in an email... more detailed info will appear here shortly.
Pentium III 800 (1 gig preferable)
256 MB RAM
Hard Disk Drive space unspecified (although two CD's usually means at least 500meg)
32 meg Second Generation Graphics card - e.g. GeForce 2 (optimised by Ge Force FX's though, I believe)
O/S unspecified (Windows 98 SE)
Don't forget that the 'Totality Engine', whilst utilising the best from the newest computers, is a scaleable engine, allowing those of us without mega PC's to play the game - although maybe with a drop in graphical quality. When I first interviewed Demis Hassabis, I mentioned the specifications that might be needed. He quoted 128 meg of RAM as a minimum, but those with 512 meg RAM will get an even more amazing gaming experience as the Totality engine makes the most of the hardware you've got.
