Az Asahi Shimbun címû újság lapjain megjelent hír szerint egy Hong Kong-i internet kávézó volt a helyszíne a legutóbbi olyan halálesetnek, amely a hosszú ideig tartó folyamatos játékkal hozható kapcsolatba, ugyanis a fent említett helyszínen egy 28 éves fiatalember vesztette életét azt követõen, hogy hat órát játszott a Diablo II-vel. A rendõrségi információk szerint komoly stressznek volt kitéve munkahelyén, és a hosszú ideig tartó játék további komoly megterhelést jelentett számára, ami már végzetesnek bizonyult. Tavaly októberben két hasonló haláleset is történt, ezek azonban 24 óránál tovább tartó folyamatos játék miatt következtek be, és helyszínük Tajvan, illetve Dél-Korea volt.

EA has planted the cancellation stamp of doom onto the Xbox version of Digital Illusions' World War II action game
16:14 According to US reports, the Xbox incarnation of PC hit Battlefield 1942 has been cancelled by EA. Apparently, the console edition of the World War II action game has been cut loose to allow developer Digital Illusions to concentrate solely on the PC version and imminent expansion Road to Rome.
Battlefield 1942 was initially unveiled to an expectant audience, an audience from both the PC and Xbox gaming world. However, with the PC version out for months and no news on the Xbox version even close to smacking us in the eyes, the console outing was always looking a little shaky. And now any hopes of it appearing have crumbled into dust.
Battlefield 1942 is a singleplayer and multiplayer World War II action game that features both foot soldier and vehicle-based combat on a massive scale, conflicts raging over expansive, detailed maps. Well, that's what it is on PC anyway. For all we know the console release could have been a medieval, turn-based, puzzle game with comedy juggling chimps. I guess we'll never know.

- According to Preview published in the last number of the Japanese magazine Dorimaga, the final version of F-Zero on GameCube developed by Amusement Vision will have a multijoueurs mode to 4 out of splitté screen, the version which will be presented at next World Hobby Fair will be only playable to 2. F-Zero on GameCube would approach more the play Super Nintendo that play Nintendo 64, the maximum speeds reached by the vehicles will exceed the 2000 km/h, Sega would in addition have preserved its style for the jouability of the play.

- Atlus and the Japanese manufacturer Hori has just announced the exit of Memory Card 8MB for PlayStation 2 version Shin Megami Tensei III: Night on next 20 February in Japan at the price of 2500 yens, this offer is exclusively intended for those which hold Shin Megami Tensei III: Night before February 20.
- Electronic Arts announces that The Sims on PlayStation 2 will leave on next 30 January, the play will be playable to two simultaneously.
