ubuntura felraktam a linuxos steam klienst, de a bejelentkezés után nem látok egyetlen egy programot sem. (tehát listed games = 0, a keresõbe is írhatok én akármit)
tudna valaki segíteni hogy mi lehet a gond? sajnos pár napja vagyok még csak linuxos, de már szinte minden lépésemnél valami akadályba ütközöm...

Mi ez a marhaság, hogy nem lehet dual Boot, mert elveszik összes adat? 2014-ben?
És mi az a másik marhaság, hogy a SteamOS-nek kell a MINIMUM 1TB-os partíció? Normális??? :D

De van még jópár apróság. Amiket már leküzdöttem:
-nvidia driver install. nem volt egyszerû, gányolni kellett hozzá, ppa-t hozzáadni stb, amit egy mezei user nem fog megcsinálni.
-Driver install után elszállt a splashscreen, használható így is a rendszer csak csúnya.
-photoshop felküzdve, bár csak úgy mûködött ha sourceból telepítettem a wine nevû önszopató programot :)
-grub bootsorrend beállítása nem bonyolult, de ezt sem fogja egy mezei user megcsinálni
-az állandóan elõjövõ ilyen-olyan hiányzó lib-ek, amiknél persze nem azt adja meg, mit telepítsek pontosan, hanem hogy telepítsek olyan csomagot ami tartalmazza.
-hdmi-vel külsõ monitornál az ablakok szélei le vannak vágva. (túllóg a kép)
És akkor tegnap telepítettem a rendszert egyenlõre ennyi. (kali linux lett lecserélve, ami szintén ubuntu alapokra épít, de azt nem igazán baszogattam, így nem volt vele annyi hiba)
Elvileg az ubuntu és azon belül az elementary az ami a leginkább user friendly szempontok szerint készült (és nem csak elméletileg van így, tényleg eddig ez a legkezesebb). Szép is jó is gyors is, de továbbra sincs next-next linux. Win ezt még mindig fel tudja mutatni. Nem most kezdtem linuxot használni, illetve szerver még több törõdést igényel, onnan azért tudtam tapasztalatot meríteni, úgyhogy nem ijeszt meg ha hiányol valami csomagot telepítésnél a gép, vagy turkálni kell mindenféle konfigurációs file-okban. Aki életében elõször bootol linuxot win után, úgy hogy mostantól az lesz a main os, nem csak próbálgatja, az hajat tépve sikoltozva fogja a win telepítõt a gépbe tuszkolni.
Mindezek ellenére, ha egyszer beállítja az ember, és már ketyeg a rendszer, akkor nagyon jó tud lenni, de wint egy darabig még nem fogja kiváltani.
Az pedig szerintem nagyon sokaknál nem érv, hogy a linux ingyenes. Home userek nagy százaléka wint is ingyenesen telepíti. Külön csak magát az oprendszert szerintem a használó közönség méretéhez mérten elenyészõ mennyiségû ember veszi meg. Leginkább annak van eredeti windows a gépén, aki oem kapta a gép mellé, vagy diák és dreamspark premium jár neki. Sokkal inkább emiatt van leívelõben jelenleg az ms pályája mert egyre kevesebb pc fogy.

Szeretem az ilyen kattegóriákat, Konzol+TV, meg gép+monditor, mintha nem menne mindegyik midegyikkel. :D
Amúgy fejleszteni is sajna 1-2 fokkal kényelmetlenebb Linuxon nagyobb dolgokat, nem nagyon van Visual Studio képességû IDE rá (az indie játékok nagy része meg ugye valami nagyobb keretrendszerrel készül, pl Unity, azt meg arra portolja az ember amire nem szégyenli :D)

Es ez, hogy a pc gaming nagy reszet lefedo szolgaltatas (steam) is a linux fele evez, egy nagyon nagy lokest adhat a folyamatnak.
Az emberek eleg nagy reszet szinte csak a gaming kotozi a windows-hoz, ha ez valtozik (mar pedig valtozik), es egy ingyenes, jobb, nyilt rendszeren is ugyanazokat a dolgokat meg tudjak csinalni, akkor sokan bizony valtani fognak. En szurkolok a dolognak, es a linux gaming-nek is ugy altalaban.

"These are the steps I used to install steam os in virtual box. Your mileage may vary.
1. These instructions are written assuming that you downloaded SteamOSInstaller.zip
2. Extract SteamOSInstaller.zip to a folder named SteamOSInstaller.
3. Create an .iso of the folder. The tool you use to create the .iso must support joliet and rockridge extensions. The OP used IsoCreator 1.0, while I used cygwin. To create the ./iso I ran this command in cygwin: "genisoimage.exe -r -J -o steam.iso SteamOSInstaller" where SteamOSInstaller is the path to the folder where the installer was extracted to. This command should also work in linux.
4. Create a new debian 64bit virtual machine in virtual box. Make sure to select 64 bit.
5. In the virtual machine settings, under the "System" screen check the "Enable EFI" box.
6. Under "Storage" load the steam.iso that was created earlier.
7. Boot the machine. For me this takes me directly to the screen where you should select automated install. Select automated install and hit enter.
8. Wait until the installation is complete, then click "continue" to reboot.
9. A grub boot screen should appear once the machine is rebooted. Quickly select recovery mode before grub automatically continues. You should then be logged in as root.
10. Under the devices menu, select install guest additions.
11. Run the following commands (these steps are from http://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamuniverse/discussions/0/648814395797000712/#c648814395802598466):
"mkdir ~/vboxadds/"
"mount /dev/disk/by-id/ata-
"cd ~/vboxadds/"
"./
"reboot"
12. Allow the machine to reboot, then log in the gui as steam with the password steam.
13. Open a terminal and launch steam from the commandline. Allow steam to update, then login. After you are loged into steam, logout.
14. Log out of the desktop, then login again as the user desktop with the password desktop.
15. Open a terminal and run ~/post_logon.sh. The sudo password is desktop.
16. The system will then reboot and ask to create a recovery partition. Say yes and allow the process to complete. Once finshed select reboot on the menu that appears.
17. After rebooting I got stuck with a blank screen so I presed Ctrl+alt+f2 and logged in as desktop. I then had to reinstall guest additions, but this time sudo was required:
"mkdir ~/vboxadds/"
"sudo mount /dev/disk/by-id/ata-
"cd ~/vboxadds/"
"sudo ./
"sudo reboot"
18. After this it should boot into big picture mode.
19. One last thing to take care of: If you were to shut down the VM instead of rebooting, then you will be dropped into a EFI terminal. To prevent this from happening, once you reach the EFI terminal do the following:
"FS1:" (or FS0: if you dont have a cd mounted)
"cd efi"
"mkdir BOOT"
"cp steamosgrubx64.efi BOOTBOOTX64.EFI"
"cd BOOT"
"BOOTX64.EFI"
After this it should always boot like normal."
