Winning Eleven 9 kicking off in Japan this summer
The next installment in Konami's wildly popular soccer franchise will hit the pitch across the Pacific on August 4.
TOKYO--According to retail sources, Konami will release World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 in Japan on August 4. The game will be priced at 7,329 yen ($69) for the PlayStation 2. Since the game has also been ported to the PC the last three years, a Windows version is also likely. Last year also saw World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 released on the Xbox, a series first.
One of the biggest features in World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 will be the way the players move on the pitch. Aside from the addition of new tricks, the basic motions of the onscreen players have also been reworked to be even more realistic than in previous entries in the series.
Other features include the addition of two new positions, wing back and second top, the addition of snow as a weather option, and the optimization of the game's network mode for improved online play. World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 also features a new mode called "Nippon Challenge: Go for 2006," which lets players try to steer the Japanese team to an international championship.
The Winning Eleven series has been a runaway hit both inside and outside Japan. The franchise's most recent installment, World Soccer Winning Eleven 8, shipped more than 1 million units on its first day of release on August 5, 2004.

Sepakbola10 Realism Galore Gameplay Patch for WE8:I
---------------------------------------------------
***DISCLAIMER****
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Make sure to import the new PARA_we8.bin file before starting a Master League or League, for some reason the edited tweak does not
get loaded when starting a Master League, so remember to do so.
There have been some big changes in the ratings, if you see anything DRASTIC such as "defense"- 1 or "aggresion" - 1
DO NOT ALTER THEM! They are a big key element to this new gameplay tweak.
Another tweak that I think will go unnoticed but I shoudl mention it anyhow ( the longest tweaking i've had to do mind you ) is the Calve Circumference change. I was watching some games today and I noticed that most players have skinnier calves than in the game, I think they are too bulky as default and makes the feel look comical, so I manually changed all club teams players Calve Circumference to make it look more like their counterparts. I did not, however, change any for national teams.
I did not create any graphical enhancements I merely downloaded them and implemented them into the game and now into the
patch. I take no credit whatsoever. All I did was create a bootpack and altered the option file significantly.
Contents:
- Faces - various faces found online created by various facemakers.
- Boots - various boots foudn online created by various bootmakers.
I'd recommend using the bootpack provided to suit all the boot assignments as I've done a few of them based off of some sites. I apologize
If they aren't thorough enough or accurate.
- Option File - Latest Wolf's patch used as base for editing. ( see, I did something...)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What to expect:
- Slower paced gameplay - not meant to slow the game completely, but to slow the tempo of some attacks and to make the user think more
creatively.Short and long pass accuracy has been lowered to achieve a more human-like approach that is filled
with mistakes, depending on what team you use or play against this won't happen all that much.
- Dynamic Shooting Technique - Implemented strong sense of shooting techniques that range from volleys to mere free kick blasts; the
aim here is to create some beautiful looking shots.
- Technique and Teamwork - Raising teamwork rating the "99" sets degree of a sense of just that, teamwork. In this I wanted to achieve
strong build up by the Com. and I wanted to have to make my players work to anticipate and defend strongly
as a team when the Com. has the ball. I felt bored and frustrated because the Com. would often be very linear
with their attacking style, now I have to work harder than ever.
- Aggression and Defense - These two have been decreased to "1". The reason being is even with having set the following to "1" the Com.
still plays as if it is filled with aggression and strong defense. It seems as if taking those two away from
the stats the Com reacts as if it didn't not even leave and I have faced some very strong and aggresive plays
as well as defense to an extreme. I was surprised that this would be the case but it has proven to be a key
element in the new type of gameplay.
Another note regarding DEFENSE:
After reducing the defense stat to only "1" I noticed that the Master League as well as the League
bug has dissapeared. This bug is a huge one and comes unnoticed at times. The bug concerns the Com versus Com,
in other words the simmed games, games and the scorelines they produce. Before reducing the DEFENSE stat at halftime
everytime the scores would be "0 - 0" no matter who was playing, and at the end of the game the only team that
had won would be one of the stronger clubs and only by a 1 goal margin. This is how I figured out how Arsenal is
always off to such a dynamic 10 point lead in standings by then end of the season, its because everyone else
is getting draws or losing by one goal and none are scoring whatsoever. This always happens in the beggining
of the season mind you, I have no idea how it all fits in towards the end with the tweak. But now with the new
tweak implied I've seen much more realistic scores at the beginning of the season so now when everyone is at 0 pts
before the season its a real race to see who moves up and makes their mark.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation: Option file and Para_we8.bin
Replace the file KONAMI-WIN32WE8UOPT with the one in you save folder.
Make sure before starting a Master League insert the new Para_we8.bin file into your 0_text.afs file, I can't stress this enough
I was trying to see the changes for the standings in the league and was confused why it wasn't working, it was because the stats had
reverted back, so please remember to do so.

It’s finally finished! I’m sorry for the confusion earlier but having gone back to my afs file, removed all the player name files I didn’t change and re-making the patch, it’s now only 20MB overall! Because I only have dial-up I had to upload it in 4 parts, and I owe a great debt to tom10 who very kindly let me use his filefront account to upload the files to. It’s taken me 2 hours to upload them but will probably take no time at all to download for those of you with broadband! Ok, here’s the info about the patch with the links at the bottom!
Here’s some info:
It was made for PS2 but should work fine with PC and Xbox.
Thanks to everyone who’s helped me with anything on evo-web, I really appreciate your help. But especially Fishcake, Dazfeeder, Madangie, tom10 and Abscroll for their helpful advice and files for this patch, and for the brilliant Dkz studio!
The patch was made with Dkz studio so I’d recommend using that to patch your esound/ssound file but you may have more knowledge of patching than me.
There are approx 400 Motson files, 150 Lawrenson files and probably nearly 200 team names. This is as much as one person can do for now!
Player names are NOT done! This would take twice as long, so you need to turn these off in sound settings in the game options, otherwise Brackley will pop up to say these! Hopefully I’ll either sort these out in future or some guys here on evo-web will help to sort it out.
I’m not claiming it’s perfect! I have tried to keep repetition down but even the normal commentary gets it wrong sometimes (e.g Brackley often says I’m gonna be relegated when I could be 4th in the league!). I thought it best to release the patch, let you all try it and tell me what needs changing, and then when I’m back from my holiday, I may try and update with more samples etc. It still sounds good for a first attempt though!
IT IS NOW POSSIBLE TO HAVE BOTH SETS OF ENGLISH COMMENTARY ON ONE DISC!
Here’s a suggestion for using the files (credit to RuneEdge for a great idea). Rather than replace your English commentary with this new one, have BOTH sets on your disc! You can either apply the patch to your existing esound.afs file and copy your normal esound, rename it to ssound (for example) and re-import, or just apply this patch to your ssound file. When you load the game, load your language as usual, but in the options menu, you can choose to change the commentary only, so that if you choose English (esound) you could have Motson, and if you choose Spanish (ssound) you can have Brackley! The menus will stay the same language and only the commentary changes! Superb!
One other thing, in the download "Beardy’s sounds", I’ve also put a word doc which is a list of all the team name files and instructions on how to change them, and adx files for Sunderland and West Ham for those of you who want to replace teams with these newly promoted ones. Sorry, but I haven’t got Wigan and if people want other European teams then tell me and I’ll see what I can do.
http://rapidshare.de/files/2154935/Beardy_s_patch_sounds.rar.html[/url]
OK, in a desperate attempt to get some working links, I've uploaded the same file multiple times! I explain about it below so please read to get the correct files!
OPTION 1
This is the full patch, with all updates included, just apply this patch to your ?sound file and "save as" to get your new file (which you import back into your iso). This is literally a patch of the whole E_sound file so is big (each part is about 25MB) and I'd recommend trying this with WE8LE:
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228470/Beardy_s_full__patch.part01.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228555/Beardy_s_full__patch.part02.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228599/Beardy_s_full__patch.part03.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228648/Beardy_s_full__patch.part04.rar.html
OPTION 2
This is a patch which includes just the files I've changed and so is smaller and more suitable for those of us with dial-up! Because I updated afterwards, if you choose this option then you need to apply this new update AFTER the original 4 part patch below (each part is 5MB).
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228337/Beardy_s_fifapatch.part01.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228354/Beardy_s_fifapatch.part02.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228367/Beardy_s_fifapatch.part03.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228379/Beardy_s_fifapatch.part04.rar.html
and the update file...
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228388/0606_update_patch.rar.html
OPTION 3 (!)
This option is same as option 2 but the 4 part patch is all in one so is a 20MB file to download and then use the update posted in option 2.
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228423/Beardy_s_patch.rar.html
PLEASE REMEMBER! Whether you use option 1, 2 or 3 they all are the SAME patch!
I'm new to patching but I know this definately works if you have problems once you have the files you choose. OPen the patch file with Dkz studio, edit>export checked files, and export to a purpose made folder. Now open your original ?sound file and go, edit>import all files in folder, and chhose those you just put in your folder. It may now say that some are too big, ignore that and choose save as on your ?sound file and it'll all be saved, probably leaving the file size around the 222-227MB mark. To check, scroll down the files and you should have bold files (the imported ones) and if you play these they will be Motty (unless you click on a 2148B file which is silent!).
Now import and "pad with zeros>yes" if asked.
I'm praying these links work!!

This is literally a patch of the whole E_sound file so is big (each part is about 25MB) and I'd recommend trying this with WE8LE:

http://rapidshare.de/files/2228648/Beardy_s_full__patch.part04.rar.html
OPTION 2
This is a patch which includes just the files I've changed and so is smaller and more suitable for those of us with dial-up! Because I updated afterwards, if you choose this option then you need to apply this new update AFTER the original 4 part patch below (each part is 5MB).

and the update file...
http://rapidshare.de/files/2228388/0606_update_patch.rar.html
