    Emberek, szétb@sz az ideg!
Inter elleni kupadöntő 1. meccse, 2-1-re vezetek a meccs végefelé.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Modern Era

1960-61 - Alec Stock begins as Manager.

1962 - Back to White City.

1963 - Back to Loftus Rd.

1964 - Jim Gregory joins board.

1965 - Jim Gregory elected chairman. Les Allen signed. Mark Lazarus rejoined for 3rd time. The Rodney Marsh signed from Fulham for £15,000

1966/67 - Div III Champions. League Cup Winners 3-2 v WBA - The first League Cup Final at Wembley. This remains the only time that QPR have ever won a major competition.

1967/68 - Div II Runners-Up - finished 1 point behind Champions Ipswich. South Africa Road stand built. Merger with Brentford mooted, but ditched when fans protested.

1968/69 - In Div 1 for first time. Relegated straight away with worst ever points total in Div 1 : 18. Record remained until Stoke City's 17 points in 1984/85. They would have got 14 points with 2 points for a win. Alec Stock resigns as Manager, replaced by Tommy Docherty for only 28 days, who himself was replaced by Les Allen.

    1969-73 - In Div II.

1969/70 - Signed Terry Venables for a club record of £70,000.

1970/71 - Phil Parkes signed. Gordon Jago replaced Les Allen as manager and signed Terry 'Enry' Mancini.

    Phil Parkes

    Dave Clement Ian Gillard
    Dave Webb Frank McClintock

Gerry Francis Mick Leach/John Hollins Don Masson

Stan Bowles Don Givens Dave Thomas

Gordon Jago built the foundations and Dave Sexton polished off the perfect team. QPR played Total Football. Unbeaten at home all season, winning 13 out of the last 15 games, QPR were cruelly pipped for the championship by Liverpool. Liverpool needed to beat Wolves in their last game of the season and were losing 1-0 with 13 minutes to go. They then scored 3 to prevent one of Englands finest ever teams from gaining Championship honours. Really lost the championship by losing to Norwich with 3 games to go. Div I Runners-Up. Club record position. Gerry Francis appointed England Captain. Dave Clement debut for England, Don Masson for Scotland. Highest ever average home attendance 23,422

    The 1975/76 Q.P.R. Squad

1976/77 - QPR enter European competition for first time in Uefa Cup. Reach 1/4 final throwing away 3-0 home lead against AEK Athens, eventually going out on penalties. Finfish 14th. Semi-final of League Cup, lost to Aston Villa in replay.

1977/78 - Sexton went to Man Utd and was replaced by Frank Sibley. The team split-up: Thomas, Masson and Webb and Leach left, but Paul Goddard signed professional terms. Finish 19th.

1978/79 - Sibley resigned replaced temporarily by Alec Stock, until Steve Burtenshaw made boss. Clive Allen signed professional terms and Glen Roeder signed. Phil Parkes sold to West Ham for £550,000 - a world record for a goalkeeper. Clive Allen scores hat-trick in his full debut. QPR finished 20th and relegated. Burtenshaw replaced by Tommy Docherty.

    1979-83 - Div II.

1979/80 - Signed Tony Currie, Bob Hazell, Steve Wicks, Chris Woods, and Gary Micklewhite. Gary Waddcok signed professional terms. Francis, Hollins and Bowles transferred. Missed promotion by 1 place.

1985/86 - Jim Smith takes over as manager. Leroy Rosenior and Clive Walker signed. Finished 16th. Reached League (Milk) Cup final. Beating Chelsea 2-0 in the 1/4 final with a 50 yard lob from Robinson. Famously beat Liverpool in home leg of Semi and then drew 2-2 on a glorious night at Anfield. The final was in absolute contrast. It was one of the worst chapters in QPR's history. Played of the park by an Oxford side they had trounced at Loftus Rd in the league. QPR lost 3-0 and Jim Smiths' side played appallingly.

1986/87 - David Seaman, Sammy Lee and Les Ferdinand (£15,000 from Hayes) signed. QPR's greatest ever Chairman, Jim Gregory finally sold club to Marler Esates. Gregory had been responsible for taking QPR from the old Div III to the top of the old Div I, and building an almost completely new stadium at the same time. David Bulstrode took over the club personally after fan power caused Marler's plans to merge with Fulham and create a team called 'Fulham Park Rangers'. Birth of the independent supporters club LSA (Loyal Supporters Association). Finished 16th.

1987/88 - Signed Mark Dennis, Paul Parker, Kevin Brock, Danny Maddix, Mark Falco and Trevor Francis. Finished 5th and top London club. Didn't enter EUFA cup as English club ban was in place.

Smith went to Newcastle. Shreeve appointed Manager temporarily until Trevor Francis given the job. Francis signed Spackman, Andy Gray, Peter Reid, Colin Clarke and Andy Sinton. Lost 5-2 in 1/4 final of League cup to Nottingham Forest. Finished 9th.

1989/90 - Kenny Sansom and David Bardsley bought. Don Howe joins coaching team. Francis eventually replace by Don Howe as Manager. Ray Wilkins, Roy Wegerle and Dominic Iorfa signed. Big Dom the only International (Nigeria) to play for QPR and to appear to not understand the off-side laws. Finished 11th. Lost to Liverpool 1-0 in replayed 1/4 final of FA Cup. David Seaman sold to Arsenal for £1,300,000. Paul Parker plays for England.

1990/91 - Signed Jan Stejskal - Czech National keeper, Clive Wilson and Andy Impey. Wegerle scores goal of the season against Leeds. Bobby Gould joins coching staff. Signed Darren Peacock and Rufus Brevett. Gould moves onto WBA. Finished 12th.

1991/92 - Don Howe replaced by Gerry Francis as Manager. Bought Dennis Bailey and Ian Holloway. QPR beat Man Utd at Old Trafford for first time. Dennis Bailey hat-trick drives 4-1 victory. Wegerle sold to Blackburn for £1 million. Finished 11th.

1992/93 - QPR one of 22 founding members of FA Premier League. Away game at Man City first Monday night fixture live on Sky TV. David Bardsley and Les Ferdinand make England debuts. Devon 'Bruno' White signed and becomes probably the most loved striker with the littlest skill but the biggest stature. Tony Roberts makes Wales debut. Finished 5th and top London club.

1993/94 - Finished 9th in the Premier League.

1994/95 - Sold Andy Sinton to Sheff Wed. Bought Trevor Sinclair. Finished 9th. Gerry Francis resigns after long running battle with Richard Thompson over keeping players at the club. Ray Wilkins appointed. Thompson demotes himself, and appoints Peter Ellis as Chairman. Ferdinand sold to Newcastle for club record £6m.

1995/96 - Clive Wilson poached for Spurs by Francis. Hateley signed for £1.5m club record. Simon Osborn & Ned Zelic signed and rapidly sold. QPR's record consecutive tenure of top division comes to an end after 13 seasons Paul Murray signed from Carlisle. The seeds of Thompsons years of lack of investment and negativity finally bear fruit, as QPR get relegated in 19th position. Ian Holloway leaves to manage Bristol Rovers.
